Lead Technician

Reports to Operations Manager
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education: HS diploma or equivalent
TECHNICAL CREDENTIALS & QUALIFICATIONS
- Journeyman’s O1, O2 or O6 Electrician’s license preferred
- Ability to read and interpret drawings and schematics
EXPERIENCE
Technical Experience in one or more of the following preferred:
- Technological Equipment
- Wire/Wireless Networking
- Security & Surveillance Systems
- Lighting Systems
- CCTV
- Residential or Commercial Construction a plus
LEADERSHIP EXPERIENCE
- Effectively and efficiently directing activities of partner apprentice
- Teaching, training and skills development of team members
- Providing accountability and gentle correction to accomplish team objectives
- Managing team resources to complete assigned work on-target, on-time, on-budget.

T-F: 7:00-5:30
*Very periodic weekends, occasional work outside of normal business hours
PERFORMANCE EXPECTATIONS
General

Installation
- Performs electrical installation and termination according to departmental procedures and standards
- Professionally installs and connects equipment according to Work Order specifications and departmental procedures and standards
- Appropriately calibrates AV equipment according to client expectations and industry best practices.
- Assures system functions properly and appropriately trouble shoots prior to leaving home
- Consistently works to minimize/eliminate return visits
LEAD RESPONSIBILITIES
General
- Demonstrates ownership for all assigned installations, assuring all work is completed according to company standards and values
- Proactively problem solves installation challenges and is prepared with possible solutions when presenting issues to Operations Manager
- Effectively and efficiently directs the activities of apprentice
- Participates in the ongoing training and professional development of apprentice and other team members as assigned
- Provides accountability and appropriate correction of team members in order to accomplish performance objectives
- Consistently assures that team resources are managed in the way assures all work is completed on-target, on-time, on-budget
- Participates in team member performance reviews by providing constructive performance feedback to the Operations Manager in a timely manner
Customer Service
- Effectively listens to customers to fully understand what they want their systems to do
- Consistently explains and demonstrates complicated technical concepts to customers in terms that they are able to understand
- Works to amaze and delight clients by appropriately managing expectations
- Pursues professionally personal connections with clients
Quality
- Assures consistency in executing the departmental CQI program
- Actively participations in the development and implementation of departmental and company policy and procedures
