Gear up for the Holidays with a Home Theater Upgrade

Two Ways to Improve Your Home Entertainment Experience Right Now

Gear up for the Holidays with a Home Theater Upgrade

I love the holidays, and while many people in Seattle, WA get excited at the thought of decorating the Christmas tree or lighting the menorah, there are some who shudder at the sound of holiday music this time of year.

It’s hard to get in the holiday spirit when all you can think about are long lines and family squabbles, but my recommendation is to relax with some holiday home entertainment. Play some Christmas music, watch seasonal movies and programs, and take some time to reflect on the whole meaning of it all.

An outdated home theater system can be its own source of frustration, too. Home entertainment technology has come a long way in recent years, so if you’re still stuck with subpar audio and visuals, then this information may help.

Here are my personal recommendations for the best upgrades for media rooms and home theaters.

#1: Update Your Streaming Services, Blu-ray Player, and TV to 4K Ultra-High Definition

If you haven’t already upgraded your TV or projector to 4K, it’s definitely time to do so. With 4,000 pixels packed into the screen, the crisp detail you get with 4K is unmatched. And for those of you who have changed out the flat-screen TV for a nice big new one, have you even considered your Blu-ray player, cables, and streaming subscriptions?

For example, Netflix now offers a plan that lets you stream movies and shows in 4K. If you want to play 4K Blu-rays, you’ll need a new player, like the Sony UHD Blu-ray Player and new cables as well. A standard HDMI cable will not do the trick; you need HDMI 2.0 to get the best performance when playing 4K movies.

The bottom line is, check your AV components and make sure you are getting the most bang for your buck when it comes to picture quality. If not, you can skip those long holiday lines and call us instead for fast home theater service.

#2: Try Triad Audio for Immersive Sound

In one of our most recent blogs, we talked about the new partnership between Control4 and Triad Audio.

First, ask yourself ‘how many speakers do I have right now?’ If the answer is one or even two, you don’t have a multi-room audio solution. You could be streaming music wirelessly, but it’s not the best way to enjoy music in your home. The good news is that as a Control4 dealer, we can install a fully immersive whole house audio system so you can enjoy surround sound in your home theater, and in every single room in the house.

Triad One has some amazing features that top many of the other audio brands out there. First, the music quality is, in my opinion, truly stunning. The high-resolution audio fills each room with crystal-clear sound, so you’ll be experiencing your favorite artists with the best sound possible.

Secondly, Triad One easily connects to a Control4 system so you can expand your music options and play songs via iTunes, Amazon Music, XM Sirius Radio, and so many more. You won’t have to worry about the system distributing music to every corner of your house, because they have matrix switchers that fit any size property. So whether your house is massive or modest, we can deliver an audio solution that works for you.
